As you are probably aware, you can mix Activz Powders with water to make a juice. Lots of people also add it to smoothies. Well, why stop there? I have played around with various liquids to come up with some ways to use Activz Powders to enhance flavors and make healthy alternatives. Here are the three best drinks I made using the Mixed Berry flavor. Any of the fruit options will work, too. If you’re really brave, you might even try some vegetables.
I love tea. Correction: I love flavored tea. Who can resist a little burst of flavor in the morning? One of my favorite teas is a berry-citrus blend I have. It’s great on its own, but I wanted to try kicking it up a notch. I added ¼ tsp of powder for each 8 oz of tea. This is enough to boost the flavor, but not take over. If you’re mixing it with a plain tea, you might want to add a little more.
Fruit blend juices are always popular. I like mango-orange juice much better than just plain orange juice, for instance. But you don’t have to buy lots of flavors to have options. When you use Activz Powders, you can enhance the ones you already have. I happened to have some raspberry lemonade in the fridge and decided to work with that. I added ½ tsp of powder per 8 oz of juice. You can adjust it depending on the juice and the flavor you are going for.
A sneaky substitute
This is a great one to use with kids. Instead of getting sugary soda pops, make your own using sparkling water and Activz Powders. In this case, I used 1 tsp per 8 oz of water. For me it was sweet enough on its own, but you can add your favorite natural sweetener if you feel the need. You get all the fun of bubbly drinks without the high calories and artificial flavors you get with store-bought soda. Your kids might even enjoy mixing their own drinks, as the water bubbles up a bit when you add the powder.
